సిగ్గెందుకే చిట్టీ సిగ్గెందుకే..
సిగ్గుపడుతున్న పాపాయిని చూస్తే "భయమెందుకే చిట్టీ భయమెందుకే.. భీమన్న ఉండంగా భయమెందుకే"(పెళ్ళి చేసి చూడు) పాట ఇలా మార్చి పాడాలనిపించింది.

గ్యాస్పరిల్లా పెరేడ్ అయింది ఈ మధ్య. అప్పటి ఫొటోలు. I have never done street photography.. I was not comfortable with that idea so far... but it was loads of fun especially with a long zoom!!

ఐఫోన్ (Apple's iPhone)
ఎన్నో ఊహాగానాల తరువాత ఎట్టకేలకు యాపిల్ వాడు ఐఫోన్ త్వరలో రెలీజ్ చేస్తున్నాడు cingular నెట్వర్క్లో. నేను డిజిటల్ ఆడియో ప్లేయర్లకి పెద్ద fanని కాకపోయినా ఈ ఐఫోన్ నన్ను ఎంతో ఆకట్టుకుంది. ఎప్పటినించో నేను widescreen iPod గురించి వేచిచూస్తున్నాను, ఇప్పటికి ఐఫోన్ని widescreenతో రిలీజ్ చేస్తున్నారు. దీనిలో నాకు నచ్చిన విశేషాలు ఏమిటంటే 3.5 in. widescreen, touchscreen, built-in wifi (802.11 b/g), గూగుల్ మ్యాప్స్ access చేయగలగటం, internet access, iTunes ఎలాగో ఉంటుంది, orientation sensor and the proximity sensor.
widescreen: The coolest thing ever happened to the iPod (in my opinion).
Wifi: యాపిల్ వాడు Microsoft Zuneని మెచ్చుకోకపోయినా, ఆఖరికి iPodలో కుడ wifi ప్రవేశపెట్టాడు. దీనివల్ల నేను అనుకోవటం ఏమిటంటే మనం ఇంట్లో ఉంటే (wireless router ఉన్న ఇంట్లో) కంప్యూటర్తో పని లేకుండా ఐఫోన్లోనే ఇంటర్నెట్ access చేయవచ్చు. అలాగే airports, కొన్ని restaurants, coffee shops వద్ద laptop కంప్యూటర్ లేకపోయినా ఐఫోన్తో ఇంటర్నెట్ access చేయవచ్చు (I really hope Cingular doesn't cripple this feature).
Google maps: జిపియస్ని replace చేయకపోయినా కార్లో గూగుల్ మ్యాప్స్ ఉండటం గొప్ప సౌకర్యం.
Proximity sensor: ఇలాంటీదే ఈమధ్యన కొత్తగా వచ్చిన digital SLR cameraల్లో ఉన్నది. కెమేరాని కంటిదగ్గర పెట్టుకోగానే LCD స్క్రీన్ ఆటోమేటీక్గా ఆఫ్ అయిపోతుంది (Canon Digital Rebel XTi).. అలాగే ఫోన్ వచ్చినప్పుడు answer చేసి చెవి దగ్గర పెట్టుకోగానే స్క్రీన్ off/dim అవుతుంది.
ఈ ఐఫోన్ 4GB లేక 8GB కాంఫిగరేషన్లో రానుంది. నా అభిప్రాయం వరకు 8GB or even 4GB చాలా మందికి సరిపోతుంది, but it really is subjective and depends directly on how big one's audio library is.
నాకు నచ్చని ఒకే ఒక అంశం బ్లూటూత్ స్టీరియో ప్రోఫైల్ (A2DP) లేకపోవటం (Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR capable). A2DP వల్ల బ్లూటూత్ వైర్లెస్ హెడ్ఫోన్స్తో stereo sound వినగలుగుతాం. ఇప్పటి వరకు ఇచ్చిన specificationsలో A2DP లేదు. రిలీజ్ అయ్యేప్పుడు ఈ ఫీచర్ ఉందని చెప్తారని ఆశిద్దాం.

Update: Engadget.com says the iPhone supports A2DP along with Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR. Hurray!!
Pricing: 4GB $499 and 8GB $599 on a 2year Cingular contract.
Availability in US: June, '07, Europe 4th quarter of '07 and Asia '08 exclusively in Cingular for years (Cingular-Apple multiyear contract).
Also sounds like we can't download songs on iTunes store directly from the device.
As expected, 3G will be included in future iPhone models (and maybe bigger capacities as well).
