Night Photography

I can just say what I have found after series of photos shoots initially and lot of help from other photo enthusiasits like me. Mine is S1 IS with enough manual controls which in my opinion are must for "photography". With night shots,

1. The camera needs to be set at higher exposures say something like 1-2 secs to even the maximum exposure available in the camera (which is 15 secs in my S1 IS and 30 secs in Rebel XT) so that it can absorb whatever low light available. కేమరాలో ఉండే "నైట్‌ మోడ్‌" pre-setలో ఆ exposure time or shutter speed అనేది 1/8 secs ఉంటుందనుకుంటా, which is not sufficient in lot of cases. One can even try changing the aperture. In my case, most of the times I've set the camera to lowest aperture available in addition to longest exposure time.

2. ఈ longer exposure time or slower shutter speed వలన ఫొటో తీస్తున్నప్పుడు ఏమాత్రం కదలినా మొత్తం ఫొటో blur అయిపోతుంది.

3. ఇలా tripod or any other stable support మీద పెట్టినా, photo తీస్తున్నప్పుడు button press చేసేటప్పుడు అయ్యే slightest shake వల్ల కూడా ఈ నైట్ షాట్స్ లో బ్లర్‌ రావొచ్చు.

So one can play around with these things, mainly the shutter speed and the aperture and more importantly with no flash and I'm sure there are so many other things which help in getting best night shots. These are just 3 basic things one can start with.
