ఏ మాత్రం plan చేసుకోకుండా, ఏంచూడబోతున్నామో ఏమాత్రం idea కూడా లేకుండా బయల్దేరిన మేము ఆరోజు కళ్ళకీ, మనసుకీ, కేమరాకి కూడా అంత ఇంపుగా గడుస్తుందని ఊహించలేదు. అగ్గిగుగ్గిలంలా ఉండే ఆరిజోనా వెళ్ళటానికి అది సరిగ్గా సరిపొయే time కూడా. మళ్ళీ ఎప్పుడెప్పుడు వెళ్దామా అనుంది.

Truly rewarding day. Totally unplanned and unprepared for the views and the experience. Perfect time for the perfect weather in Arizona too. Can't wait to get back out there!

కొంతకాలం క్రితం సెలవలకి Northern Californiaలో వెళ్ళినప్పుడు San Francisco-Big Basin Redwoods State Park దారిలో ఈ లైట్‌హౌస్‌ కనిపించింది. బాగుంది కదా అని ఫొటో తీసుకున్నామే కానీ అప్పట్లో మాకు తెలియనిది- 115 అడుగుల ఎత్తున్న ఈ కట్టడం US యొక్క పశ్చిమకోస్తాతీరప్రాంతంలో అతి పెద్ద లైట్‌హౌస్‌ అని మాత్రమే కాదు, ఆ ప్రక్కనే ఉన్న నాలుగు ఇళ్ళు కలిపి అక్కడ youth hostel నిర్వహిస్తున్నారని కూడా తెలియలేదు. ఆ హాస్టల్లో సాయంత్రాలు సూర్యాస్తమయంతో పాటూ బెలీన్‌ తిమింగలాలను చూస్తూ, రాత్రుళ్ళు ఆరుబయట లక్షల నక్షత్రాలతో పాటూ అకాశంలోనూ అలల్లోనూ తచ్చట్లాడుతున్న చంద్రుడ్ని చూస్తూ ఆ అలల హోరుకి నిద్రపోతే ఎంత బాగుంటుందీ.. !! ఒక మాంఛి అవకాశం తప్పిపోయింది.

During our vacation in Northern California sometime back, we came across this lighthouse on our way to Big Basin Redwoods State Park from San Francisco. What we didn't know at that time was- not just that this 115-foot high lighthouse is the tallest of its kind in on the West Coast of the United States, but also that the few houses just adjacent to lighthouse are operated as a Hostel. How cool would it be to spend your evenings watching gray whales and sunsets, nights watching zillions of stars and moon reflecting in the waters below and sleep to the sound of waves crashing against the rocks!!! One missed opportunity.

మరియనా దగ్గెర చిపోల నదిలో కయాకింగ్ చేస్తుండగా "అవెన్‌స్‌" అని పిలవబడే ఈ గుహ చూసాము. సుమారు వెయ్యి అడుగుల పొడవు ఉందట. గుహలు మరియూ geology (భౌమశిలావిన్యాసం) గురించి కొంచెం చెప్పాలి. U.S.లోని ఈ ప్రాంతం యొక్క అధారశిల/bedrock సున్నపురాయి/limestone. ఈ సున్నపురాయి ఎలా రూపొందిందీ..? కొన్ని లక్షల సంవత్సరాల క్రితం ఈ ప్రాంతమంతా సముద్రానికి అడుగున ఉండేది. కాలక్రమేనా నీరు వెనక్కి తగ్గటం వల్ల, గవ్వలు, జలచరాల అస్థిపనంజరాలు, మడ్డితో ఉన్న ఒకప్పటి సముద్రపు అడుగుభాగం గట్టిబడి సున్నపురాయిగా మారింది. నీటిలో సులువుగా కరిగే గుణమున్న సున్నపురాయి weak acidic waterతో రసాయన చర్యకు గురైనప్పుడు ఖనిజాలు కరిగి, కొన్నివందల సంవత్సరాలకి గుహలు ఏర్పడతాయి. ఉదా: బొర్రా గుహలు. (బహుశా తూ.గో.జి పెద్దాపురంలో పాండవులమెట్ట (సున్నపురాతికొండ) మీద ఉన్న గుహ కూడా ఇలాగే ఏర్పడి ఉంటుందేమో?)

Came across this cave called "The ovens" while kayaking along Chipola River in Marianna. This cave is about 1000 feet long. Bit of intro to caves and geology: This part of US is underlain by limestone as bedrock. Used to be sea floor millions of years ago. As water receded, the one time sea floor with shells, corals and sediments hardened to form limestone. The solubility of limestone in water and weak acid solutions leads to karst landscapes where acidic groundwater dissolves the calcium-carbonate and carrying it away in solution creating sinkholes as well as cave passages large enough to walk through. Ex. Borra Caves in AP. (May be the cave on Pandavula Metta (limestone outcrop) in Peddapuram formed in a similar way?)

పాత ఆవే. అప్పుడు చెప్పిన కథే: ఆరోజు పొద్దున్న గోసంరక్షణసమితిలో ధాన్యాలు ఇవ్వడానికి వెళ్ళేసరికి ఆవులన్నీ తయారైపోయి బొట్లుపెట్టేసుకుని ఉన్నాయి. అప్పుడే దూడల్ని తల్లుల దగ్గెరకి వదులుతున్నారు.

Same cow. By the time we got to Gosamrakshana Samithi (a place where cows are protected and taken care of. Such places usually run on charity) that morning, to give pulses/grains, all the cows were given a bath and decorated as per their daily routine. Calves were just being brought to their mothers.

Prayers answered. (Legal) HD streaming of Indian movies, particularly of those we've been waiting to watch for a long time but have no access to, without having to rent/buy a pirated DVD or download a crappy quality torrent. BTW streaming is blocked in India for the time being.

Some tech details:
Streaming uses Silverlight, just like netflix, and the video quality will be optimized based on the internet connection speed. I don't know the resolution but based on their HD video claims and my observations (watched leaving home)it might be 720p; the audio is only stereo. Surround sound hopefully in the future. I did not experience any hiccups and I'm on a 10Mbps line.

"పాన్నింగ్‌" షాట్స్ ప్రయత్నించటం ఇదే మొదలు. "షట్టర్‌ ప్రయారిటీ"లో, "బర్స్ట్‌ మోడ్‌", "ఏ.ఐ. శెర్వో"లు పెట్టి వేరువేరు షట్టర్‌స్పీడ్లతో తీసి చూసాను. ఫలితాలు బాగానే ఉన్నాయి. Wider lens తెచ్చుకునుంటే బాగుండేది. మొత్తానికి తీసినవాటిల్లో బాగున్నవి కొన్నే అయినా ఆ కొన్నీ చాలా తృప్తినిచ్చాయి.

My first attempt at panning shot. Used shutter priority and tried various shutter speeds, burst mode with AI Servo. Results were very encouraging, pretty soon. Wish I had a wider lens from where I was standing, though! Even though the success rate was minimal, it was very rewarding.

ఇది (కొన్ని సంవత్సరాల క్రితం మూసివేయబడిన) టెనొరాక్‌ అనే మైన్‌సైటులో. ఇలా పక్షులు చేపలని వేటాడటం మేము చూడటం, ఫొటో తీయడం కూడా మొదటిసారి. దగ్గరలోనే రెండు గూళ్ళు ఉండటం వల్ల, ఆస్ప్రే(సముద్రపుకాకి - పేరులోనే తప్ప ఇంకెక్కడా కాకికి సంబంధం లేదు, లేక కొరమీను గద్ద(?) ) తన పిల్లలకి ఆహారం కోసం వేటాడుతుందని అనుకున్నాం.

మీకు తెలుసా:
1. ఒక గూటిలో పిల్లా పెద్దా కలిసి రోజుకి 7-8 చేపలు తింటాయని? ఆడ ఆస్ప్రే పిల్లలదగ్గెర ఉంటే, రోజస్తమాను మగపక్షి ఈ వేట హడావిడిలోనే ఉంటుందేమో ఇంక.
2. ఈ పక్షులు ఒకసారి జంటకట్టాయంటే సాధారణంగా జీవితాంతం కలసుంటాయని?

This picture was taken at a closed down mine site, now transformed into a fish management area and a great site for bird and random wildlife viewing. We were fortunate to witness and photograph (our first time) the hunting of Osprey (sea hawk) by diving into water to catch the fish! Spectacular! We saw a couple of osprey nests nearby and figured that it is breeding season and the osprey is hunting for the babies.

Do you know that:
1. Ospreys and babies in a nest will eat 7-8 fish per day? Guess the male bird will be busy almost all day hunting while the female stays close to the nest.
2. Ospreys usually mate for life?

అజినమోటో మిఠాయిరంగు లాంటి కొన్ని సరుకులు లేకపోయినా రుచి సూపరొచ్చింది. ఇంతకీ ఈ వంటకాన్ని చికెన్‌65 ఎందుకు అంటారో తెలుసా? విన్న వేరువేరు కథనాల్లో నమ్మశక్యంగా అనిపించినది: మొదట్లో మద్రాసు మిలటరీ క్యాంటీను మెనూలో ఈ వంటకం అరవైయ్యైదో నంబరు ఐటం అంట. అక్కడ్నుంచి ఆ వంటకం, ఆ పేరు అలా ఖ్యాతికెక్కాయిట. ఈ 65 గురించి మీకింకేమన్నా కథలు తెలిస్తే చెప్పండి.

It turned out so yummy even though we didn't have some key ingredients. The reason for this being called "Chicken 65" is that it was 65th item on the menu of an army canteen in Madras, where it used to be prepared initially and then got popular from there with that moniker. Let us know if you know any other such stories about the name.

ఫ్లోరిడా రెడ్-బెల్లీ ఎక్కువగా చెరువులు, నీటిబుగ్గలు, వాగుల దగ్గెర గట్ల మీద చెట్ల మీద ఇలా వెచ్చని ఎండని అస్వాదిస్తూ కనిపిస్తుంటాయి. రూపురేఖల్లో పెనింసులా కూటర్‌/ఫ్లోరిడా కూటర్‌ అనే చుట్టాన్ని పోలి ఉంటుంది. ఆహారం నాచు, నీళ్ళల్లో పెరిగే మొక్కలు. పెంపుడు జంతువులుగానూ, అహారంగానూ కూడా ఎగుమతి అవుతూంటాయి(ట). గుడ్లు పెట్టేటప్పుడు ఒకోసారి వెళ్ళి దగ్గర్లో ఉండే మొసలి గూడులో పెట్టేసి వచ్చేస్తుంది, ఆ గుడ్ల రక్షణ కోసం. మొసలి ఈ గుడ్లు కూడా తన గుడ్లే అనేసుకుని జాగ్రత్తగా పొదిగేస్తుంది. అచ్చం మన కోకిల వెళ్ళి కాకి గూట్లో గుడ్లు పెట్టినట్టు. వివరాల్లో తప్పులు/తేడాలు ఉంటే తెలియపరచగలరు.

Florida Redbelly is often seen basking on logs and shores along lakes, ponds, slow-flowing streams. It is closely related to the Peninsula Cooter/Florida Cooter. Aquatic vegetarian. Commonly exported for pet trade and consumption. These turtles sometimes lay their eggs in its neighbor's (alligator) nesting mounds, to protect them from predators. Alligator, thinking those are hers, protects and hatches them. Just like cuckoo eggs in crow's nest. Indian Gharialగా పిలవబడే ఈ మొసలి భారతఉపఖండంలోని ఉత్తరప్రాంతాలలో, ముఖ్యంగా గంగా, బ్రహ్మపుత్ర, మహానది మరియూ సింధూ నదీ పరీవాహక ప్రాంతాలలో ఎక్కువగా కనిపిస్తుంది. సన్నగా, పొడూగ్గా ఉండే నోరు, ఆ నోటి చివర్న బొడిపలాంటి ఆకారం (ముఖ్యంగా మగవాటికి) ప్రత్యేకతలు. Ghara, అనగా హిందీలో కుండ ఆకారంలో ఉన్న ఆ మూతిచివర బొడిప కారణంగానే దీనికి gharial అని పేరు వచ్చింది. ఈ జాతి మొసళ్ళు అతిపొడవైన మొసళ్ళు మాత్రమే కాదు, మిగతా మొసళ్ళకన్నా చురుకునైవి కూడా. This crocodile-like reptile called Indian Gharial is native to northern regions of Indian Subcontinent, especially in the river systems of Ganga, Brahmaputra, Mahanadi and Indus. Long, narrow snout and bulbous growth at the the tip (especially for male gharials) are the characteristic features. The bulbous growth at the tip looks like a "Ghara" (Hindi word for pot), hence the name. Gharials are not only the longest but also quickest of the crocodilian order. ఆరోజు పొద్దున్న గోసంరక్షణసమితిలో ధాన్యాలు ఇవ్వడానికి వెళ్ళేసరికి ఆవులన్నీ తయారైపోయి బొట్లుపెట్టేసుకుని ఉన్నాయి. అప్పుడే దూడల్ని తల్లుల దగ్గెరకి వదులుతున్నారు.

ఆగ్నేయాసియాదేశాల్లో మాత్రమే కనిపించే ఈ చిన్నసైజు జింక (Muntjac) barking deer అని సాధారణంగా పిలువబడటానికి కారణం దాని అరుపు అచ్చు కుక్క అరుపులాగానే ఉండటమే.

This small deer native to southeastern asia is called Montjac, but usually referred to as "Barking Deer" as its calls, especially when it senses danger, sound exactly like dog's barks.

టార్పన్‌ స్ప్రింగ్స్‌ గురించి, చరిత్రగన్న ఆ ఊరి తాలూకు అందాలు, బీచులు, గ్రీకు రెస్టారెంట్ల గురించి చాలా రోజులుగా వింటూ, వెళ్ళాలనుకుంటూ ఉన్నాము. ఆఖరుకు మొన్న శనివారం మధ్యహ్నం నుండి వెళ్ళి కొంతసేపు బీచిలో కూర్చుని ఆకళ్ళు వేస్తున్నాయని తిని (ఒక చాలా మంచి గ్రీకు రెస్టారంట్లో. అక్కడ ఉన్నంత సేపూ నాకైతే నిజ్జంగా గ్రీకు దేశమ్లో ఉన్నట్టనిపించింది మరి) బయటకు వచ్చేసరికి చీకటిపడిపోయింది. అందుకే ఇంక ఊర్లో ఏమి తిరగకుండానే వెనక్కు వచ్చేసాము. పైన చూపిస్తున్న ఫొటో ఒక మామూలు బీచి ఫొటో అని, టార్పన్ స్ప్రింగ్స్ విశేషాలు దేనినీ ప్రతిబింబించటంలేదనీ తెలుసు. కేమరా బ్యాటరీ అయిపోవటం వల్ల అక్కడ ఎక్కువ ఫొటోలు తీయలేకపోయాను. మళ్ళీ ఒకసారి కొంచెం తీరికగా వెళ్ళి, మరిన్ని ఫొటోలు తీస్తాను. ఇంతకీ పైన చూస్తున్న ఫొటో హావర్డ్ పార్కు బీచిలో తీసింది.

We've been hearing about tarpon springs, its beautiful beaches, historic downtown and very nice greek restaurants and been wanting to go there for a while. Atlast, we went there this weekend, we were totally bowled over. I know this is just a typical beach fotograph and not exactly the picture that shows what Tarpon springs is all about. Unfortunately I couldn't take many pictures as the camera battery ran out of charge. Will go there soon and take more pictures, hopefully. This fotograph is at the Howard park beach(?).

కడుతున్న బ్రిడ్జ్ పడిపోవటానికి కారణం రెండ్రోజుల వర్షం అంటున్నారు.. నేను సివిల్ ఇంజినీర్ని.. mainly I deal with foundation design of bridges along with other structures. In my minimal experience.. a structure, particularly these kind of heavy structures, will be/have to be designed considering the natutral calamities, including 100/200 year flood maximums (meaning 100 years లో రాగలిగే maximum flood), 100/200 year earthquake maximums, etc in addition to the anticipated traffic load at the end of design life. అంటే ఇప్పుడు రోజుకి 30 కార్లు వెళ్తూ.. సంవత్సరానికి 5 కార్లు చొప్పున పెరుగుతుంటే.. ఈ బ్రిడ్జ్ కి 40 యేళ్ళు design life అయితే.. అప్పటి ట్రాఫిక్ లోడ్కి నేను ఇప్పుడు design చేయాలి. మరి ఒకవేళ నిజంగా కేవలం రెండ్రోజుల వర్షానికే.. అదీ తూపాను కూడా కాదు, పడిపోతే.. ఇంక పైన ట్రాఫిక్ని ఎలా మోస్తుంది. పైగా నేను ఎక్కడో చదివిన దాని ప్రకారం (ఎంత నిజమో తెలియదు), future traffic increaseని పెద్దగా consider చేయలేదంట designలో. ఇది టెక్నికల్గా నాకు తెలిసినంతవరకు చెప్పగలిగింది.

ఇక రాజకీయంగా, నేను విన్న ఒక అభిప్రాయం ప్రకారం, CMగా ఎవరు ఉన్నా ఎవరు ఏమీ చేయలేరూ, ప్రతీ ఒక్కర్నీ వెళ్ళి ప్రశ్నించలేరు.. అంట.. ఎంత strictగా ఉన్నా ఏమి చేయలేము, మన్మోహన్ సింగ్ idealistic అని పేరు, కానీ ఏమి చేయలేకపొతున్నాడు..అని reasoning. నాకస్సలు అర్థం కాలేదు అదేంటో.. Leaders are supposed to be just not only idealistic but also tough and strong.. if you can't be that.. u r just a దద్దమ్మా, అది strict ఉన్నట్టు కాదు, చేతకానితనం అంతే..u r not fit to be a leader కానీ మన CM గారికి అది కూడా లేదు. ఇది మా చేతుల్లో లేదూ, అది మా కంట్రోల్లో లేదూ, ఏదీ మా బాధ్యత కాదూ, నాకు సంబంధం లేదూ, ఇలాంటివి జరుగుతుంటాయి , మనమేమీ చేయలేము.. అంటుంటే .. నువ్వు CMగా ఎందుకు మాకూ? u r just unfit to be a CM. నీకు ఇష్టమైన సొనియా పారాయణ చేసుకో. Common man అయిన నేనూ ఏమీ చేయలేకా.. CM అయిన నువ్వూ ఏమీ చేయలేకపోతే .. నీకు నాకు difference ఏంటీ.. నీకు ఇంక అధికారం ఎందుకు? ఇన్నాళ్ళూ, కుంభకోణాలూ.. కుమ్మక్కులూ, గొడవలూ.. common man direct గా affect కాలేదు.. tangible లెవెల్ లో. ఇప్పుడు జనాల ప్రాణాలే పోతున్నా.. లెక్కలేదు. ఎవరు ఎన్ని రకాలుగా దుమ్మెత్తిపోస్తున్నా దున్నపోతు మీద వర్షం లాగ చలనం లేకుండా కూర్చోవటమే కాకుండా.. పత్రికల వాళ్ళు ప్రశ్నలు అడుగుతుంటే.. ఏదో కక్షకట్టి తిడుతున్నట్టు, దానికి అసహనంగా defend చేసుకుంటున్నట్టే ఉంటుంది కానీ ఎక్కడా జనాలకి జవాబుదారితనంతో సమాధానం ఇస్తున్నట్టూ లేదు. ఛీ సిగ్గు లేని బ్రతుకు.. కనీసం నా నిర్లక్ష్యం, అసమర్ధత వల్ల ఇంతమంది ప్రాణాలు పోతున్నయనే slightest guilty feeling కూడా ఏమాత్రం ఉండదేమో ఎదవ జన్మ కి.. ఇక్కడ కాంగ్రెస్ వారనే కాదు.. పలానా అధికారి, పలానా కాంట్రాక్టెర్ అనే కాదు.. అందరూ తినేవాళ్ళే, అందరు పెట్టేవాళ్ళే.. కానీ దారుణంగా ఇలా directగా జనాలందరికీ తెలుస్తున్నా, చూస్తున్నా, అడుగుతున్నా..నాకు సంబంధం లేదూ, నా తప్పు కాదూ అని కయ్కయ్మని పత్రికలమీద అరిచేసి.. నన్ను కాదన్నట్టు దులుపేసుకుని, పిల్లి కళ్ళు మూసుకుని పాలు త్రాగుతూ.. లోకంలో ఎవరూ నన్ను చూడటంలేదనుకుంటే ఎలా.. ఇంత చేసాక next electionsలో ఎలాగో అధికారంలోకీ రారూ.. కానీ అదొక్కటే కాదు కదా solution. . పోయిన ప్రాణాలు తిరిగొస్తాయా.. జరిగిన నష్టం పూడుకుంటుందా.. ప్రతిపక్షాలు వాళ్ళు, ముఖ్యంగా చంద్రబాబు, ఇదే టైంలో ఓట్లు మనవైపు తిప్పేసుకోవాలనే ఏదవ ఆశతో మరీ ఎక్కువ గొడవచేస్తున్నారూ అని కూడా అంటున్నారూ.. అవును నిజమే.. వాళ్ళ ఓటు పాలిటిక్స్ వాళ్ళు చేస్తున్నారు మరి వాళ్ళకి అంత చాన్స్ ఇస్తున్న ఎదవలు ఎవరు.. . ఎదవపనులు చేస్తూ, అలాంటి చాన్స్ కోసమే చూస్తున్న ప్రతిపక్షాలు అనకూడదు అంటే ఎలా? ఇంకో విషయం, ఎక్కడో కామెంట్లలో ఎవరో అంటే గుర్తొచ్చింది.. .రాష్ట్రంలో ఇన్నేసి డ్యాములు కడుతున్నారూ.. ఒక బ్రిడ్జ్ పడిపోతే 10-20 మాత్రమే పోయారు.. అనకూడదు కానీ, అలాంటిది డ్యాంకి ఏమన్నా అయితే, ఎంత జన/ఆస్తి నష్టం జరుగుతుందో ఊహించుకుంటేనే భయమేస్తుంది. భగవంతుడా ప్లీజ్ నా దేశాన్ని కాపాడు..

One Day Blog Silence in honor of Victims

Silence can say more than a thousand words.

This day shall unite us all about this unbelievable painful & shocking event and show some respect and love to those who lost their loved ones.

On April 30th 2007, the Blogosphere will hold a One-Day Blog Silence in honor of the victims at Virginia Tech. More then 30 died at the US college massacre.

But it´s not only about them. Many bloggers have responded and asked about all the other victims of our world. All the people who die every day. What about them?

ఈ పక్షి చూడటానికి, పావురం లాగ, కాకి లాగ (కాళ్ళ దగ్గెర), నెమలి రంగుల్లోనూ, ఎర్రటి ముక్కుతోనూ చాలా విచిత్రంగా భలే అందంగా ఉంది.సాధారణంగా ఈ పక్షి ఇలా చెరువుల్లోనే ఉంటుందంట.. నీళ్ళల్లో ఈదటం కాకుండా, ఇలా తామరాకుల మీద నడుస్తుంటుందనుకుంట, google imagesలో అన్నీ అవే ఫొటోలు. మరిన్ని విషయాలు ఇక్కడ మరియు ఇక్కడ చూడండి.

ఈ ఫొటో తీసినప్పుడు జరిగిన చిన్న సంఘటన గుర్తుకు వస్తుంది. కనిపించే నల్ల పక్షి పేరు anhinga (పాముబాతు), పెద్ద పక్షి పేరు great blue heron (నారాయణపక్షి/పాములనారిగాడు). ఆన్‌హింగా కి బొమికలు చాలా బరువు ఉండటం వల్ల ఎక్కువ వేగంగా ఎగరలేవు, ఇక నీటిలో వేటాడి చేపని పట్టుకున్నాక రెక్కలు మొత్తం తడిగా అయినప్పుడు ఒక కొమ్మ మీద కూర్చుని తన రెక్కలని ఆరబెట్టుకుంటుంది, లేకపోతే ఆ బరువుకి అస్సలు ఎగరలేదు. ఇక ఇప్పటి సంగతికి వస్తే ఆ ఆన్‌హింగా ఎంతో కష్టపడి తనకి మించిన వేటని పట్టింది, కానీ దాన్ని తినడానికి చాలా తంటాలు పడుతుంటే పక్కనే హెరాన్‌ కాచుకుని ఉన్నది. చివరికి ఆన్‌హింగా అలా కుస్తీలు పడుతూ ఒక్కసారి ఆ చేపని కింద పడేసింది. ఇంకేముంది, హెరాన్‌ ఒక్క ఉదుటన వెళ్ళి ఆ చేపని పట్టుకుని కాలవ అవతలి వడ్డున వాలింది. ఎగరలేని ఆన్‌హింగా అక్కడే కొమ్మ మీద ఉండిపోయింది. Nature at work అనిపించింది నాకు!

ఎవర్‌గ్లడ్స్‌ నేషనల్‌ ఫారెస్ట్‌లో కనిపించిన పర్పుల్‌ గాలినూల్‌. ఈ పక్షియొక్క విశిష్ఠత ఏమిటంటే ఆడ మగ పక్షులు గుడ్లని పొదిగి, పిల్లలని సాకుతాయంట. ఈ పక్షికి చలా దగ్గరలోనే మొసళ్ళు కూడా ఉన్నాయి. మంచి ఎకోసిస్టంని చూడటం ఎంతో ఆహ్లాదకరం (మానవ సమాజానికి దూరంగా...)

ఇక్కడ మా ఊర్లో ప్రతీ సంవత్సరం జనవరిలో రెండు వారాంతాల్లో pirate festival జరుగుతుంది. దానికి హడావిడీ, ఏర్పాట్లూ నెల ముందు నుంచే మొదలుపెట్టేసారు. ఇంక వేరే ఏ సందర్భమ్లోనూ ఇంత హడావిడీ, ఇంత ఎత్తున ఏర్పాట్లూ చూడలేదు నేను ఇక్కడ. మొత్తం హడవిడి అంతా మా ఇంటికి చాలా దగ్గర్లో. మొన్న శనివారం kids pirate festival. ఈ వారం పెద్దవాళ్ళది. ఈ festival సందర్భంగా ముస్తాబు చేసిన pirate ship.
